Unlock Secrets to Brain Potential

Increase your brain’s creativity, energy and focus by learning how the latest neuroscience connects to executive performance, stress management and enhanced decision making. Sandra Bond Chapman, Ph.D. will share ways we can keep our brains “fit” for today’s fast-paced world.

Attendees can participate in an immersive virtual reality experience and a mini introduction to neuroscience, using Oculus Rift virtual reality goggles and GE Neuro software. Center for BrainHealth team members will also demonstrate how scientists are utilizing virtual reality to examine ways to improve life-enhancing social cognition skills for individuals on the autism spectrum. The Center-developed virtual world simulates real-life scenarios in settings such as a school, home, bookstore or coffee shop and includes dynamic face-tracking technology.

Dr. Chapman is the founder and chief director of the Center for BrainHealth at The University of Texas at Dallas, Dee Wyly Distinguished University Chair and author of “Make Your Brain Smarter.” Dr. Chapman’s scientific study elucidates and applies novel approaches to advance creative and critical thinking, strengthen healthy brain development, and incite innovation throughout life.
