RE 101: Community Advocates
Community Advocates are invited to gain insights into the complexities of real estate and learn the basics needed to analyze real estate needs, such as the decision to lease, buy or develop, and navigate the development process. This capacity-building program arms participants with the ability to make educated real estate decisions that help implement innovative solutions to community development.
At this session, Terrence G. Maiden, executive vice present of development at Corinth Properties, and Jason Claunch, president at Catalyst Commercial, will join us to walk attendees through market trends and data that impact real estate projects. For example, they will explore why a high-end restaurant versus a McDonald’s was built in a neighborhood.
This program is produced by TREC Community Fund. TREC Community Fund believes supporting communities and rebuilding local economies takes innovative solutions. We provide nonprofit and for-profit organization in Dallas and Collin Counties access to capital for commercial real estate projects benefiting low-income families and their communities through flexible loans and development services.
