What a knockout! On Thursday, April 27, more than 1,500 people gathered at the Hilton Anatole for the industry’s hottest event of the year — FightNight XXIX — to raise an impressive $1.43 million benefiting TREC Foundation.
The 29th year of FightNight kicked off with a special VIP reception where boxers from the Dallas Police Youth Foundation, our 2016 Legacy Leaders Impact Award recipient, showed off their expert boxing moves. Guests were then ushered into the Chantilly Ballroom for an unrivaled black-tie extravaganza to experience the vibrant scene of Havana, Cuba. The sold-out evening featured three professional boxing bouts, casino gaming, and Vegas-style diversions, along with second to none networking with the who’s who of the political community and commercial real estate industry.

Since FightNight’s inception, the event has grown to one of North Texas’ largest philanthropic events, raising more than $26 million to support TREC Foundation and its good works. TREC Foundation’s 2017 grantees include: Aberg Center for Literacy, Catholic Charities of Dallas, Commit!, Dallas Police Youth Foundation, ScholarShot, Educational First Step, Emanuel Lutheran Church, Genesis Women’s Shelter, Harmony Community Development Center, Jubilee Park and Community Center, Moorland YMCA and UNT Dallas College of Law.
