Organization: Frazier Revitalization, Inc.
Issue: Hatcher Station Village, an 8-acre transit oriented development near Fair Park, is essential to Frazier Revitalization Inc.’s (FRI) mission to transform the Frazier neighborhood. As a medically underserved area, the first development phase included a 44,000-square-foot healthcare facility. Without sufficient financing, FRI could not begin construction and faced delays that threatened the project.
TREC Contribution: The Real Estate Council Community Fund’s loan to FRI served as the catalyst for completing the project.
Impact: The new healthcare facility, which will serve more than 55,000 patients annually, is the cornerstone to FRI’s vision for Hatcher Station Village. With easy access to healthcare, transportation, career-focused education and social services, the Frazier Community continues toward urban revitalization.
