Our neighbors along the state’s southeastern coast need our help. Hurricane Harvey and the record rainfall it brought has destroyed homes and businesses, forcing thousands to evacuate. Many of our fellow Texans lost everything.
The Dallas Regional Chamber is partnering with the following relief organizations to provide short and long-term help to those affected by the storm:
-The City of Dallas has created a website with details on how to make financial contributions to partner organizations such as the Red Cross, donate items of greatest demand and ways to volunteer in the ongoing relief efforts.
-The United Way of Metropolitan Dallas has set up the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund to support the immediate and ongoing relief efforts. All proceeds contributed to this fund will be distributed to nonprofits supporting evacuees seeking shelter and long-term assistance here in North Texas.
-If you receive inquiries about Hurricane Harvey relief, please contact Jennifer Sampson, CEO and President of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, at jsampson@unitedwaydallas.org or 214-998-0004.
