The Rundown: Power Hour

This is the first in a series of weekly TRECWire posts previewing our upcoming educational programs. We begin with Power Hour, which returns September 6.

What is it: Our most exclusive educational event, Power Hour is a quarterly, interactive walking tour of a new development in the Dallas area – selected to align with industry issues or emerging trends – and intimate networking opportunity between attendees.

Why so exclusive? Power Hour’s appeal hinges on offering TREC members access to people, places and experiences not widely available. These events are only available to Investor, Partner, Principal, Stakeholder and Founder-level members.

How many typically attend: Attendance ranges from 20-60 guests, allowing participants to more directly engage with speakers, panelists and tour guides.

The next one: The next Power Hour will take place September 6 at 5 p.m. It is a tour of Hilti North America’s product development site, a 65,000 square-foot facility. Guests will also meet with Hilti North America CEO Avi Kahn and experience live testing at the site.

The most recent one: The 175,000 square-foot Perot campus, offices of the Perot Family and divisions of Hillwood situated along Turtle Creek. Guests toured the new offices, Perot family museum and Katy Trail access with Bill Brokaw, senior vice president at Hillwood Urban.
