The Rundown: Speaker Series

This is the third in a series of weekly TRECWire posts previewing our upcoming educational programs. Today’s post features Speaker Series, which returns September 21. Click here to read last week’s post on Industry Insights.

What is it: Speaker Series is our premier educational offering, a quarterly event featuring leading speakers on the most pressing topics our city and industry face. The event is sponsored by Bank of Texas and presented by The Dallas Morning News.

Who can attend: Attendance is open to all members and nonmembers. Individual tickets are complimentary to investor and above members and discounted to all other TREC members. Events range from 350-500 guests.

When is the next one: Our next Speaker Series is entitled “Dallas on Fire: Talent Attraction & Retention” and will take place on September 21 at 11:30 a.m.

Who’s speaking: It will be moderated by Dallas Morning News real estate editor Steve Brown and consist of a panel featuring Jason Oliver, vice president of Talent Acquisition at AT&T – with more to come.

Who was the last guest speaker: Danielle DiMartino Booth, founder of the economic consulting firm Money Strong, LLC and author of Fed Up: An Insider’s Take on Why the Federal Reserve is Bad for America.” Others include Ron Kirk on trade, Tim Keith on high speed rail and Rob Kaplan on leadership and the Federal Reserve.
