Linda McMahon, president and chief executive officer of The Real Estate Council, has been named to D CEO’s annual list of the 500 most influential business leaders in Dallas.
According to a news release from D Magazine, which publishes D CEO, the Dallas 500 “provides an engaging, personal look at people across 60 categories that make Dallas such a powerful economic force.” Other honorees include Mark Cuban, Ross Perot Jr. and Elaine Agather.
The full list will appear in a special print edition of the trade publication as well as on its website in January. Its 2018 honorees attended an exclusive reception at The Star in Frisco on November 16 in celebration.
Prior to joining The Real Estate Council, McMahon spent three decades in banking and was previously southwest director for community development banking for JPMorgan Chase Bank. McMahon has led TREC to become a driving force in North Texas, with more than 2,000 members and 600 member companies.
In 2017, McMahon launched the The Real Estate Council Community Fund’s inaugural Shark Tank event at Gilley’s, which resulted in over $2.3 million in investment in Southern Dallas real estate developments. Under her leadership, TREC Foundation will award the first recipient of the Dallas Catalyst Project during the November 30 Bank of Texas Speaker Series event featuring Rob Kaplan, president of the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank.
The commercial real estate industry is responsible for significant economic growth in the state an TREC has been at the forefront as its largest and most influential real estate organization in Texas.
