Mixed-Income Housing

Access to housing for all members of our community is essential to a healthy economy. Addressing the continuous gap in and growing need for adequate housing at a range of incomes requires neighborhood-specific strategies, a variety of tools, and a comprehensive approach. In the last few years, TREC has offered the City ideas and strategies to encourage mixed-income housing that were incorporated in the Comprehensive Housing Policy adopted in 2018.

Since 2010, the City of Dallas’ Sustainable Development and Construction Department has created more than 57,680 dwelling units from 6,480-plus multifamily permits worth $7.87 billion.
