What is your favorite part about being involved with Young Guns?
My favorite part of being a Young Gun over the past three years has been getting to know all of the people I’ve met throughout the commercial real estate industry. When you meet people in an organization like TREC, it’s easy to connect over many common goals: supporting your community, being involved in the city’s public policies, and building relationships with other real estate professionals. As a Young Gun, I’ve always felt grateful for the opportunities to enhance skills that I don’t practice in my day-to-day job, like leadership and fundraising. Being a part of Young Guns has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I’m forever grateful to the TREC staff and my fellow core committee members for the partnership and guidance throughout.
How has being a member of TREC shaped/impacted your career? How did you get involved with TREC?
TREC has allowed me to meet new people, harness new skills, and support my community. It provides the perfect balance between personal and professional growth. For example, as the Casino Night Chair, I have learned leadership, fundraising, and event planning, yet when I was the Breakfast Group Chair, it was an accelerant for my personal network. During my time in TREC, I’ve realized these benefits and have been able to apply them at work and in my personal life.
The first TREC event I attended was a New Member Coffee. I was looking for a way to get involved and was graciously welcomed with open arms. After the initial coffee, I began reaching out to several core committee members, asking how I could get more involved. I began serving on the Young Guns Core Committee as the Breakfast Group Chair, succeeded by Casino Night Vice Chair and then my current role, the Casino Night Chair.
Tell us a little bit about Casino Night! Why is this such a big annual event?
The most important thing about Casino Night is the cause. We want to raise the most funds possible for our 2025 Young Guns Community Investors project.
Casino Night is the cornerstone event for young real estate professionals in Dallas. It’s an opportunity to celebrate, form new relationships, and donate to a great cause. The event serves as an opportunity for Young Guns and non-TREC members to interact in an informal setting, hopefully cultivating long-lasting friendships and professional partnerships.
We’re hopeful that this year’s Casino Night is the best one yet. We have a tremendous event planned with an A-list of attendees already registered. I can’t think of a better way to spend April 10th than meeting future leaders in the real estate community at Casino Night. The event will be filled with raffle prizes, food, beverages, and more!
What are you excited about for Casino Night?
I’m excited to celebrate all of the Casino Night committee’s efforts. I’m so proud of our committee members and all the hard work we have put in. It will be rewarding to celebrate our accomplishments together. It’s been a lot of hard work, but I know it’s going to be a great time for everyone!
I’m also eager to see Young Guns 2025 Community Investors Project. It’ll be extremely gratifying to see our hard work put to a great cause, supporting our community.
