DALLAS (May 14, 2019) – The Real Estate Council (TREC) Political Action Committee (PAC) today announced its endorsement of State Representative Eric Johnson for Dallas Mayor. Johnson is one of two candidates in the City of Dallas mayoral runoff election, which takes place June 8.
“Throughout his tenure as a State Representative, Eric Johnson demonstrated that his values and goals align with our vision, and TREC’s PAC believes that as Mayor he will continue the City’s efforts to generate positive community change,” said Linda McMahon, president and CEO of TREC. “Dallas is at a turning point, especially with the momentum we’ve built toward revitalizing southern Dallas, and we encourage all of our members and citizens to exercise their right to vote in the runoff election and help guide the vision for our City’s future.”
Guided by a board of directors, the TREC PAC meets regularly to discuss and monitor issues and candidates. PAC contributions directly fund candidate endorsements.
“It was exciting to see such a large number of strong, diverse candidates getting involved in the Dallas Mayor’s race,” said Kevin Bryant, TREC PAC chairman and general counsel for Crow Holdings. “We look forward to working with all incoming Councilmembers and the new Mayor to build the city we’ve imagined.”
