Daniel Baker

Vice Chairman | Managing Director, Multifamily

Bio

Daniel Baker is Vice Chairman and Managing Director of CBRE’s Central Region. Baker is the leader of the Dallas Multifamily team, focusing on individual and portfolio level multifamily asset dispositions in North Texas. Since 2012, Baker has been involved in more than $30 billion of multifamily investment transactions. Baker leads client engagements on behalf of investors in the multifamily space including institutional investors, syndications, family offices, foreign investors, and REITs.

Prior to joining the Dallas Multifamily team, Baker worked in CBRE’s Global Research and Consulting group, working on assignments involving all commercial real estate asset classes. He analyzed macroeconomic data including labor market trends, interest rate projections, economic drivers, and real estate fundamentals.

Scott Everett

Founder & CEO

Bio

Scott Everett founded S2 Capital in 2012 to acquire and redevelop multifamily real estate and now serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Manager. In the past 12 years as CEO of S2 Capital, he has built a real estate investment company that has transacted on $10 billion of multifamily assets totaling over 46,000 units, with over 650 employees across four operating companies. Scott is a recipient of the Inc. Magazine 30 Under 30 award, the Dallas Business Journal 40 Under 40, and Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the year for the 2018 Southwest region. He is an active investor and board member for multiple early-stage companies and enjoys being involved in the growth of early-stage ventures. He also contributes significant time and resources to various local charities and serves on the board of Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) and Children’s Cancer Fund (CCF). He is an active member of TREC, NMHC, Real Estate Roundtable, and is on the board of the North Texas Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Scott is married with four children and lives in Dallas, Texas.

Eric Hage

Bio

Eric Hage joined KDC in 2021 to oversee all new business strategies for the company’s core businesses: build-to-suits and fee development projects. He is responsible for marketing, leasing and client relationship development across all asset classes and geographies. Eric also formulates business plans and implements strategic objectives that continually drive KDC forward to meet its goals.

Before his hire at KDC, Hage spent eighteen years within the construction industry. Ten of those years were with Structure Tone Southwest where he rose through the ranks to become Regional Vice President of the Dallas office. In this executive position, Hage oversaw a team of 120 professionals and managed a book of business exceeding $300 million annually.

During his career, Hage has been involved with multiple high-profile developments throughout Dallas-Fort Worth and beyond. These include the projects for Wells Fargo (Las Colinas), Tenet Healthcare (Farmers Branch), American Airlines headquarters (Grapevine), State Farm in Richardson, and corporate offices for Oncor (Fort Worth).

Born and raised in the Dallas area, Hage earned his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Richmond in Virginia. He is married with three children.  Eric sits on the board of the Clayton Dabney Foundation and is a mentor with Mercy Street.

Mattye Jones

Bio

Mattye Gouldsby Jones is a Director in the Affordable Housing and Community Development practice at Coats Rose law firm in the Dallas office. She assists developers with tax credits and bond financing, community development, and legislative matters in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Georgia, and several other states. She also assists developers with strategy 9 (e.g., Go Zone Gulf Coast redevelopment), securing consents, and transactional closings for Workforce Housing; Historic rehabs; 4 percent and 9 percent LIHTC transactions, and commercial endeavors. She assists clients with public-private ventures including use of RAD/conversions and special financing. Jones has supervised the handling of diverse legal matters before federal and state courts. She is the former General Counsel and former Sr. VP/COO of the Dallas Housing Authority. Jones is licensed to practice in Texas and Mississippi. She is a former Chair of the Governing Committee of the ABA Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development Law and Immediate Past-President of the Housing and Development Law Institute (HDLI), a national nonprofit comprised of industry leaders focused on legal education. Jones is committed to endeavors of empowerment via economic development and education, where she is a frequent speaker. Jones’ current volunteer service on civic boards and associations include Grace Fort Gouldsby Scholarship Foundation presidency, At Last! board, The Real Estate Council Political Action Committee (PAC) board, and the National Advisory Board of Women’s Affordable Housing Network (WAHN).

Elizabeth Malone

Bio

Elizabeth Malone serves as a Managing Director on the Texas investment sales team at Eastdil Secured.

Prior to joining Eastdil, Malone was with Crow Holdings, where she was responsible for leasing and asset management of the Crow family’s office assets. Prior to Crow Holdings, she was a Director at HFF specializing in office sales in the Southwest, with a focus on the Texas market.

Over the course of her career, Malone has been involved in over $15 billion of commercial real estate transactions. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Maher Maso

Bio

Since 2018, Maher has been a Principal in site selection and business incentives at Ryan, the largest firm in the world dedicated exclusively to business tax. With more than 20 years of economic development experience in the public sector, Maso supports Ryan clients to improve profitability through business growth and development. Previously, Maso served as the CEO of the Prosper Economic Development Corporation. He also proudly served as Mayor of the City of Frisco from 2008-17, named by the U.S. Census Bureau as the fastest growing city in the country in the last decade. Under Mayor Maso’s administration, the City of Frisco has received dozens of awards and attributions, including Money Magazine’s “Best Places to Live List” and Allstate’s “Safe and Secure Communities List.”

Maso works to represent small and large companies to create public/private partnerships and to create jobs in communities by negotiating incentives and focusing on site selection. His initiatives as mayor positioned the City of Frisco as a hub of first-class entertainment, sports, and sports medicine, including the home of the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars, FC Dallas, and the world headquarters of the PGA.

He has been interviewed by Newsweek, The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, and others. Maso is a regular keynote speaker and has spoken globally for government, trade associations, and corporations.

Linda McMahon

President & CEO
The Real Estate Council

Bio

Linda McMahon is the President & CEO of The Real Estate Council organization, which includes The Real Estate Council, TREC Community Investors, TREC PAC, and TREC Special Events. The Real Estate Council (TREC) is the largest and most influential commercial real estate organization in the State of Texas, focusing on Public Policy, Leadership Development, and Community Investment. through TREC Community Investors (a certified Community Development Financial Institution).

She spent three decades in banking, including 15 years with JPMorgan Chase Bank leading the Southwest Region Community Development group – a commercial real estate finance group, which specialized in complex commercial real estate transactions in housing and economic development.

McMahon has led transformative change within TREC through her tenure, which included the creation of the Dallas Catalyst Project, Dallas Housing Opportunity Fund, and Dallas Collaborative for Equitable Development initiatives, among many others. She was recently appointed to the newly-created City of Dallas Economic Development Corporation.

McMahon has led transformative change within The Real Estate Council through her tenure. TREC is engaged in all critical policy issues that impact economic development in North Texas. She was instrumental in the creation of the Dallas Housing Opportunity Fund in partnership with Local Initiatives Support Corporation and was seed funded by the City of Dallas with $6MM. This fund will provide equity and debt for affordable housing. Under her leadership, TREC Community Investors created the Dallas Collaboration for Equitable Development with a $6 million investment from JPMorgan Chase. She recently was appointed to the newly created – City of Dallas Economic Development Corporation and serves on the Executive Committee as Vice President and was Chair of the 2023 International Economic Development Conference in Dallas; a member of the Comprehensive Land Use Committee for Forward Dallas; the South Dallas Fair Park Area Planning Committee;  Texas Urban Blueprint Steering Committee Member; Founding Chair of Impact Dallas Capital; Downtown Dallas Inc. Board of Directors; Economic Opportunity Leadership Advisory Board; City of Dallas Amazon HQ2 Bid lead; CityLab High School Advisory Board; Member of the Dallas Assembly; Texas Lyceum; Urban Land Institute Member; and Real Estate Councils of Texas member; an Honorary AIA- Dallas. She is a frequent speaker and consultant on issues surrounding neighborhood revitalization, affordable housing, and economic development.

McMahon attended the University of Texas at Austin where she earned her bachelor’s degree in government.Â
