Join us as we cut the ribbon on the first project completed during Dallas Catalyst Project: Mill City! Our Young Guns members have been hard at work renovating the property at 4907 Spring Avenue, also known as Spring Plaza, which houses the nonprofit South Dallas Fair Park Innercity Community Development Corporation (ICDC) and retail space for up to three tenants.
Founded in 1986, ICDC’s mission is to “Create a stable, safe, and vibrant South Dallas/Fair Park community by building partnerships that provide homeownership opportunities, job training, economic development, community education, and advocacy.”
Renovations to Spring Plaza’s exterior included fresh paint, new landscaping and signage, and upgraded safety and security measures. The project received more than $75,000 in TREC Community Investors grant funds and $45,000 from ICDC.
The two-story, 15,000 square-foot Spring Plaza site includes office space, a reception area, restrooms, kitchenettes, conference rooms, and the three retail suites. Spring Plaza serves more than 2,500 residents annually through ICDC and the retail space.

Located at the corner of Knox Street and Travis Street, the Knox Street development is currently under construction and expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
The Knox Street development will feature three towers across more than 1 million square feet, including:
- A 140-key, five-star Auberge Resorts Collection hotel called The Knox
- 48 luxury Auberge Resorts Collection-branded condominiums called The Knox Residences
- 101,000 square feet of high-street retail
- 186 luxury multifamily units
- 149,000 square feet of boutique office space, which has been 100 percent preleased
Woods Bagot designed the hotel, condo, and retail aspects of the project, while KPF designed the office building. OBJ Landscape Architecture designed the landscaping, Martin Brudnizki Design Studio designed hotel interiors, and Chad Dorsey Design Studio designed the condo interiors. The architect of record for the project is HKS Architects, while Balfour Beatty and Andres Construction have collaborated as the general contractor.

This event is open to TREC members with an active Young Guns membership. Space is very limited. Tickets are $30.

Please note: This event is a hard hat tour, so please wear closed-toed shoes and dress appropriately for a construction site. Safety is a priority, and proper footwear and attire are required for participation.
