On Thursday, May 12, The Real Estate Council hosted a crowd of more than 1,450 to FightNight XXVIII: Breaking Records.
The evening began with a special VIP reception featuring Sugar Ray Leonard, followed by the unrivaled black-tie extravaganza in the Omni Dallas Ballroom where guests traveled back to the speakeasy days of the Roaring Twenties. The sold-out evening featured professional boxing, fancy fare and libations, casino gaming, and Vegas-style diversions, along with amazing networking with the who’s who of the political community and commercial real estate industry.
Relive FightNight’s evening of 1920’s glamour.
As one of North Texas’ largest philanthropic events, the evening raised more than $1.3 million to support TREC Foundation’s good works in the community. The high-touch, project-based approach combines TREC Foundation’s financial resources with the time, effort, energy and expertise of TREC members to lead community development in four key areas – education, housing, job creation and the environment.
This year TREC Foundation’s grantees include Austin Street Center, Bachman Lake Together Family Center, CareCenter Ministries, Circuit Trail Conservancy, Citizens Development Center, Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, Jubilee Park and Community Center, St. Philip’s School and Community Center, Trinity Environmental Academy and Youth with Faces.
