Since 1989, FightNight has been breaking records and the 28th year will be no exception! FightNight 2016, chaired by Greg Fuller, president and COO of Granite Properties, is on Thursday, May 12 at the Omni Dallas Hotel. There will be plenty of libations, fancy fare, boxing and betting, and Vegas-style diversions for you. While this year’s FightNight may be at a new locale, the house rules are still the same: black tie and dress to kill (would you expect anything less?).
When you step into the Omni, you will feel like you traveled back to the speakeasy days of the Roaring Twenties. Between the jazz trio, hostesses dressed as flappers and the martini tasting bar, you will relive the glamour of 1920’s, all while in the presence of boxing champion, Sugar Ray Leonard! If you’re interested in spending some quality time with the legend himself, it’s not too late to bid on your chance to play a round of golf with Sugar Ray at TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas.
But if golf isn’t in your skillset, don’t worry, your opportunities to bid and bet are not over. You can take your chances with blackjack, craps and roulette or place your bets on the boxing matches to win raffle entries. And whether you win your entries, purchase raffle tickets through the Associate Leadership Council class or buy tickets the night of, you are sure to be satisfied with the raffle prizes. This year you could win a stay in San Diego, dinner out at Bob’s Chop House, sit courtside seats to cheer on the Mavericks or walk away with an autographed Dallas Cowboys helmet by Jason Witten.
FightNight will undoubtedly be an exceptional evening, but it’s important to remember the event’s purpose. All funds raised benefit TREC Foundation’s work in the community. Together we strengthen the community by investing in education, housing, job creation and the environment. Since its inception, FightNight has raised more than $24 million and is now one of North Texas’ largest philanthropic events.
This event would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. Special thanks to Super Heavyweight: Cushman & Wakefield; Title Fight: Granite, Republic Title, and Stantec; Championship Fight: Berkadia, CBRE, Goldman Sachs, HFF, and JLL; and Prize Fight: BBG, Capital Title of Texas, Chief Partners, LP, Fischer, Gaedeke Group/Normandy Homes, Harwood International, Howard Hughes Corporation, JP Morgan, KDC, KPMG, LegacyTexas, Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr PC and Northmarq Capital as well as many others for helping TREC Build the City You’ve Imagined.
