On behalf of the TREC board of directors, I want to share with you that Linda McMahon will conclude her tenure as TREC CEO on June 30, a departure which we have been planning for over the past two years. We extend our deepest gratitude to Linda for her dedicated leadership over the past 13 years, which created a solid foundation for our organization and now places it in its strongest-ever position to represent our members, the commercial real estate industry in Dallas, and the issues that impact our industry and transform our city.

We appreciate Linda’s continued service to TREC until June 30. As part of our planning throughout the past two years, we have already developed a thoughtful leadership transition process, which included putting strong leaders in place at TREC and beginning our search for our next CEO. Following Linda’s departure and until the search is concluded, Summer Loveland, TREC’s CFO/COO, will be appointed interim CEO. This deliberate preparation ensures TREC will evolve smartly, and will remain deeply impactful and influential well into the future.

Throughout her tenure at TREC, Linda has been pivotal in elevating our organization’s reputation, not only throughout our region, but nationwide. Under her leadership, she has magnified our membership’s engagement in work that strengthens the community through neighborhood revitalization efforts, creating initiatives including the Dallas Collaborative for Equitable Development and the Dallas Catalyst Project.

Linda has also been tireless in her advocacy for our industry with the Dallas City Council and at the state level on issues that relate to permitting, transportation, and mixed-income housing to name a few. Most importantly, though, she has fostered TREC’s growth in ways that benefit our members and our industry for the long-term, through leadership programs like ALC and educational events that showcase key issues and best-in-class speakers at TREC’s Speaker Series and Market Matters programs.

We also want to commend Linda on her selection as the sole finalist to become the first CEO of the Dallas Economic Development Corporation. We are at a time of real opportunity in Dallas, and we are confident that Linda’s dedicated service and deep knowledge of our city will help Dallas continue to grow and prosper well into the future.

Best regards,

Mike Geisler
