Scott Rohrman is the founder of 42 Real Estate, LLC. He has been a member of TREC since 2008 and has served on the TREC Board of Directors, TREC PAC, Dallas Catalyst Project Committee, and more. He has served as the Public Policy Chair and TREC PAC Chair. Rohrman is the pro-bono developer for 1632 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, a Dallas Catalyst Project development in the Forest District. He is the current chair of the Dallas Catalyst Project Committee.
How has being a member of TREC shaped your career?
TREC has allowed me to give back to the community and to use my career to help shape Dallas. Getting involved with the project at 1632 MLK Boulevard and the Dallas Catalyst Project (DCP) has given me a new view of our city and how we can use our talents to help.
What are you most excited about in 2024?
I’m excited about getting DCP: Mill City started. It will be fun to get involved with a new neighborhood and to become friends with the residents in that neighborhood. I’m excited to see how we can bring to life the vision of the people who live in Mill City by partnering with them and how we can get TREC members engaged with that.
What are you looking forward to with our new DCP neighborhood, Mill City?
I’m looking forward to getting to know and becoming friends with the residents and the people already doing good work down there. It will be great to make new friends and come alongside them to execute their vision – and maybe even expand their vision.
Why is DCP’s approach so unique and catalytic?
The financial aspect can be catalytic, but I also think it’s catalytic because we’re giving our members the opportunity to invest their time, talent, and treasure with a well thought out plan. We have the ability to execute something really well because we already have a plan. We don’t have to take a lot of time to figure everything out, we can jump right in. There’s already a plan and a vision. It’s an easy way for people to get involved in investing in our city if they don’t know where to start.
