Thanksgiving is a few short days away, and while you’re undoubtedly excited for food and football, let us remind you that Turkey Day is also meant for reflection and gratitude. We’re truly thankful for our members and their dedication and generosity toward our city throughout the year.
In the spirit of the season, we asked our leaders to tell us what they’re thankful for this year. Here’s what they said:
PRESIDENT AND CEO Linda McMahon, The Real Estate Council
I am thankful for the opportunity to work alongside an amazing team and impressive group of business leaders who generously give their time, talents and treasure to positively impact our community and our neighbors. I am also thankful for my wonderful family and friends for their unwavering love, support and guidance.
CHAIRMAN Ran Holman, Cushman & Wakefield
I am honored to serve as the 2018 Chairman of TREC. I am grateful for being able to be part of an organization unified around a multi-tiered mission of giving to make Dallas the city we’ve imagined. We are developing professionals, we are a voice for our industry and we are dedicating time, resources and money to critical areas that need us. I am thankful for this as well as the many friendships I have developed within TREC.
TREC FOUNDATION CHAIR Jim Knight, KFM Engineering & Design
From a personal standpoint, I am deeply thankful for my family, friends and health. From a community standpoint, I am blessed to be part of TREC and look forward to helping our city continue to prosper in 2019. Next year should be a wonderful year for all.

I am thankful for the leadership at Cornerstone Baptist Church, St. Phillip’s School and Community Center, and City Square. I am thankful for the freedom we enjoy and for those who sacrificed to establish and protect our freedom. I am also thankful for the TREC staff and members who work to expand opportunities within our communities and make a positive impact on our city.
2019 ALC CLASS CHAIR John Riggins, Talley Riggins Construction
First and foremost, I am thankful for the support I have received from TREC while starting my own business, Talley Riggins Construction Group. I am thankful for the opportunity to lead such an amazing group of young professionals through the ALC program. Lastly, I am thankful for the talented staff and volunteers at TREC that together make big things happen in and for the City of Dallas.

I am thankful for the local CRE business and community leaders that have worked together tirelessly to make Dallas a better place. It has been an honor to have had the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with such a committed, selfless, and generous TREC membership this year.
