TREC President & CEO Linda McMahon and City of Dallas Assistant City Manager Majed Al-Ghafry are co-chairing the International Economic Development Council’s (IEDC) 2023 annual conference, which will take place in Dallas from September 16-20.

“We are so excited for this conference to bring economic development professionals from across the world to Dallas and shine a spotlight on our wonderful, growing city,” McMahon said.

According to the IEDC website, the conference will “explore, modernize, and grow successful industry strategies and practice by focusing on each of IEDC’s five strategic initiatives,” which are “leadership development, workforce & talent development, supporting entrepreneurship, fostering economic opportunity & diversity, and economic transformation.”

The IEDC Conference Host Committee – which also includes TREC Public Policy and Programs Manager Travis Reynolds – have been hard at work planning an exciting lineup of speaking engagements, site tours, and special events featuring prominent TREC members and economic development leaders from Dallas and beyond.

You can see a full list of speakers here, but we would like to thank TREC members Lucy Billingsley (Partner, Billingsley Company) and Jack Matthews (President, Matthews Southwest) for participating in the Monday Morning Plenary on Monday, September 18, from 8:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., as well as Ross Perot Jr. (Chairman, The Perot Group), for speaking during the Keynote Luncheon on Tuesday, September 19, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
