TREC focuses on public policy issues that impact the commercial real estate industry on a local and statewide basis. On Tuesday, June 27, TREC sent the following letter to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and the Office of the Governor of the State of Texas on the eminent domain/condemnation proceedings regarding Fairfield Lake State Park. Advocacy at this time is warranted because this overuse of power in a private property matter would set a concerning and dangerous precedent for all property owners anywhere in the state.
