On this episode of TRECcast, we preview the upcoming MLK Food Park with Kristin Leiber of the Better Block Foundation.

Open on Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons from Friday, April 9, to Sunday, May 2, the MLK Food Park will feature 60-plus local food vendors, businesses, and musicians focused on furthering the conversation around permitting more affordable, rapidly deployable food options within our city.

This temporary placemaking installation is intended to provide much needed community space for Forest District residents, create a pop-up “incubator” for South and Southern Dallas culinary entrepreneurs, and serve as a testing ground for Dallas policy change addressing low barrier, mobile food vending options.

Learn more about how you can volunteer for the MLK Food Park and sign up for a shift here.
