Help better our community with a real estate related project while networking with your fellow Young Guns. This year the Young Guns will support the construction and the beautification of the Bachman Lake Together Family Center. The center will serve as a community hub for families in the Bachman Lake area where they can easily access quality early childhood education, benefit from social services and positively transform their neighborhood.

Opportunities For Involvement
Spread the word about opportunities for Young Guns to give back to the community.
Lead the I Give! campaign fundraising efforts and promote 100 percent Young Gun participation to support TREC Foundation at Young Guns programs and events.
Use your real estate expertise on a project directly impacting the Dallas Independent School District and educate students about potential careers in the commercial real estate industry. In 2015, the Young Guns Education Committee partnered with North Dallas High School to transform an un-used classroom into a multi-purpose activity space for teachers and students. Committee members also shared their career knowledge and experience with the students of North Dallas High School in a classroom setting. Subcommittees include Construction, Design, Donations and Marketing.
Celebrate with a night of casino-style gaming at the Young Guns premiere event, Casino Night. The annual event brings together more than 500 young professionals for a full night of entertainment to raise funds for the Young Guns Foundation project.
Keep in the know about trending topics in Dallas while networking with industry leaders. Forum is an annual event where key players participate on a panel to exchange ideas and views on the selected topic or issue. Past Forums include a discussion on the past, present and future of Deep Ellum, redeveloping Lower Greenville and the revitalization of the Farmer’s Market.
Find out what it takes to rise to the top from real estate professionals who’ve done it. This annual event brings together leading commercial real estate executives to discuss current topics, share career history and offer advice you can’t find elsewhere.
Join the Young Guns for the annual kickoff, midyear kickoff and quarterly happy hours to learn more about TREC and network with fellow Young Guns. Want the inside track on upcoming developments in the Dallas area? Join a quarterly About Town program, which provide an overview of an active development, often include a construction site tour and conclude with a networking opportunity at a nearby venue.
Learn from an experienced commercial real estate professional. With this one-one-one mentorship program, each mentor and mentee meet regularly to identify attainable goals for the year and develop a plan to achieve those goals. Applicants must be between the ages of 25 and 35 to participate.
Applications for the 2016 Mentor Program will soon be available. Please check back for more details.
Let the games begin. TREC Olympics, hosted by the Young Guns, gathers contestants together to test their skills and compete for the gold, silver and bronze in volleyball, bocce ball, cornhole, tug-of-war, hula hooping and more.
Help recruit new members and retain current membership. The committee hosts monthly New Member Coffees to build relationships with new members, promotes the benefits of Young Guns membership to young, commercial real estate professionals and keeps members informed of ways to get involved in TREC.
Inform and educate members about local and statewide issues that impact the commercial real estate industry, long-term job growth and quality of life in the greater Dallas area. During election time, the committee also identifies and endorses candidates for public office.
Get to know your fellow Young Guns over breakfast. Meet with a small group to discuss business, current trends and local issues while building relationships with Young Guns across a variety of businesses in the commercial real estate industry. Young Guns membership is required to participate. Sign up today!
