Real Estate 101 for Nonprofits Program Day: Becoming a Savvy Tenant, Buyer, or Seller

Join us on Saturday, October 14, for a volunteer day in support of the 2023 Young Guns Community Investors project, the renovation and transformation of a former liquor store into a community hub. Volunteer activities will primarily involve cleaning up the project site, including helping clear brush in preparation for additional landscaping being done for the project. Please note, this volunteer day is part of St. Philip’s School & Community Center’s larger fall community clean-up day. Therefore, we ask volunteers to check in at the school before meeting at the project site. Lunch will be provided.

Parking: Please park in the parking lot across from Gate #4. There will be signage to assist with parking.

Join TREC Community Investors as we select the next neighborhood for our Dallas Catalyst Project (DCP) during an in-person vote exclusively for TREC members. You will hear a short explanation about each of the neighborhoods, their nonprofits, and the community's needs. Then, you will vote on which neighborhood you believe best embodies TREC Community Investor's mission and will flourish the most under the DCP plan.

This will be the second neighborhood chosen for DCP, following the completion of its inaugural investment in the Forest District in South Dallas. DCP aims to build pathways between nonprofits to ignite positive community change, maximize TREC Community Investors’ impact, and catalyze lasting change in the neighborhood selected.

This will also be a time of networking with fellow TREC members and the nonprofits representing their neighborhoods. You don't want to miss this opportunity to be a part of shaping TREC's impact in Dallas!
