Our panel discussion focused on the state of the region’s retail sector, which ended 2023 with a 95 percent occupancy rate (1,001 projects, 137 million square feet) and nearly doubled new space deliveries year-over-year from 539,000 square feet in 2022 to about 1 million square feet last year.
