Throughout Hartzell’s previous, five-year tenure as UT Austin president, the school has overseen all-time highs in applications, enrollment, graduation rates, research expenditures, and philanthropic support. Previously the dean of Texas’ McCombs School of Business, Hartzell has been a UT Austin faculty member since 2001.
