As this year’s Membership Chair, what makes TREC’s midyear membership pricing offer so valuable?
This year, TREC’s Membership Recruitment Committee has worked to guarantee our membership pricing offers the most value to our members. Our responsibility is to enhance the member experience and ensure that TREC provides the networking opportunities and community involvement our members want. The fall is one of our busiest times of the year, and with TREC FightNight right around the corner, joining now is the perfect moment to get involved and make a difference.

How would you convince someone unsure about joining TREC to become a member?
The first thing I always tell people about TREC is that it is more than just a place to meet and network with like-minded individuals. It is an organization that comes together to invest in our community, transforming Dallas-Fort Worth through partnerships, advocating for local issues, and preparing future leaders within the industry. TREC has opened the door in so many ways, bringing people together across the real estate industry and developing their skillsets as leaders in their organizations.
How can our members help recruit their friends and colleagues to join TREC?
My biggest advice – bring them out to one of our events! TREC puts on some incredible programs throughout the year to help raise money for our community, and I know that the moment people see TREC’s impact and value, they are hooked.
If a friend was visiting Dallas for the first time, where would you take them? What would you do? Where would you go to eat?
Well, everything is bigger in Texas, so I’d go all out! I’d have to start the day out by taking them over to the Dallas Arboretum for brunch with a view. White Rock Lake always seems to be a favorite destination for any out-of-towners. Then, I’d head over to Dallas Arts District for a stroll around the Perot Museum and the Dallas Museum of Art. Those places never get old. I’d cap the night off with a nice dinner in the Design District at Town Hearth, complete with steaks and a great atmosphere.
TREC’s slogan “Build the City You’ve Imagined” serves as a challenge to our members to leave an impactful legacy on the industry, our city, and in the community. What kind of legacy would you like to leave through your real estate career and involvement with TREC?
As a part of VanTrust Real Estate, I have had a hand in some amazing, innovative projects across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex throughout the years. However, when I think of TREC’s slogan, “Build the City You’ve Imagined,” I think about the type of North Texas I’m helping to build for my children. I hope that by the end of my real estate career and with the support of an organization like TREC, which is dedicated to developing future leaders, I will be able to look back and feel proud that I had a hand in making this region a little bit better for generations to follow.
