The News: You can support The Real Estate Council’s community investment initiatives during this year’s North Texas Giving Day by donating toward TREC Foundation and/or TREC Community Fund.
What is North Texas Giving Day?
Organized by the Communities Foundation of Texas, North Texas Giving Day is an annual 18-hour online giving event designed to empower every person to give back to the community by supporting local nonprofits and the causes they care about in an easy-to-use platform.
North Texas Giving Day is the largest community-wide giving event in the nation. Last year, North Texas Giving Day fundraising initiatives raised more than $48 million through more than 157,000 gifts benefiting 2,700 DFW-area nonprofits. Over the last decade, North Texas Giving Day has raised more than $240 million for our region.
When is North Texas Giving Day?
This year’s North Texas Giving Day will take place on Thursday, September 19, from 6:00 a.m. to midnight.
How is TREC involved?
This year, TREC is fundraising for its two nonprofit entities, TREC Foundation and TREC Community Fund. Foundation proceeds will benefit the Dallas Catalyst Project, while Community Fund donations will support TREC’s community development financial institution. The Community Fund makes loans to non-profit and for-profit organizations in Dallas and Collin County who are pursuing real estate projects that benefit low-income families and  underserved communities.
How can I donate?
Between September 9 and 18, you can schedule your donation to TREC Foundation here and TREC Community Fund here. The donation will be processed on the morning of September 19. When you schedule a donation, you will receive a confirmation email and a receipt once your donation is processed.
